Environmental Policy

The environmental policy is reviewed as part of the overall integrated management review, which is done at a minimum of twice yearly. In setting this policy the requirements contained in EN ISO 14001:2004 are considered and applied. Any future political inspired legislation impacting on environmental aspects, which the consultancy is able to advise its clients in meeting, will be included in the scope of activities and written into the procedures as appropriate. The consultancy monitors all aspects that may impact on the above and is continually seeking ways in which it can improve the service given to its customers in this respect. All employees of the European Gas Consultancy are made aware of its environmental policy.
The environmental policy of European Gas Consultancy is:
- To fulfil all legal requirements and demonstrate continual improvement and good practice in meeting environmental standards and maintaining registration to ISO14001:2004.
- To understand and advise on the implementation of all Government environmental legislation, regulations and policies regarding the use of natural gas.
- To advise on measures to prevent and reduce environmental pollution at clients' gas installations.
- To determine the environmental impact reduction of action taken by metering gas usage before and after correction and to report this to clients.
- To achieve continual environmental improvement by reviewing clients' needs at regular intervals and advising on measurement, gas usage and maintenance.
- To aid the British Government in meeting its greenhouse gas reduction strategy and to minimise the cost to clients of the Climate Change Levy by achieving maximum plant efficiency and minimum gas consumption.
- To regularly review European Gas Consultancy's own in-house processes to achieve environmental improvements.
